Florals and Booties for Winter

Bought a few things to update my wardrobe. Vena Cava floral dress and crocodile embossed Cynthia Vincent platform shooties/ booties. Got KILLER deals on both.

I think Vena Cava really nails the floral dress in this design. The color combo is amazing and the zipper, there isn't anything I don't like about this silk beauty. Also very versatile. I LOVE CHARTREUSE.

Round toed platform booties are the shoe de jour. Black and grey are very strong this season as well. I also love the quality of Cynthia Vincent shoes.

Inspiration

Found these on Lulu and Your Mom and for awhile I couldn't stop thinking about them. There are somethings a nit picky stylist might notice but over all the tone is spot on.

Why is the Bleach Black reminding me how rad Grace Slick is? Just makes me wish I was there. This song plays for me at the most appropriate times. It's eerie. Please don't think of the cable guy. HA

New without tags, never worn, in perfect condition, D&G (Dolce & Gabbana)corset size reads 26/40 My recommendation is that it will an American size 0 - 4 or XS, S and a small medium. Size varies due to adjustable nature of corset. Has adjustable REAL and buttery soft brown leather straps and is fully boned. Plaid pattern is 70% Acrylic, 22% Wool, 6% nylon. Lining is 62% Rayon and 38% Polyester. Has cotton lace lining bust. Side zipper. Made in Italy.

Stylist's Blog Features BHB

I have studied fashion, design, and beauty in order to pursue a career in design and styling, yet when I came across a Photo Styling Class I couldn't resist. There are classes for wardrobe selection and Cosmetology courses but its somewhat rare to find a class that focuses specifically on the wide and wonderful world of Fashion Photo Styling. Not only am I learning many wonderful things that will help me grow in my chosen field but it has also been very life affirming as I felt quite at home in this class. Instructing this fantastic class is Ms Susan Cox, who is a seasoned stylist, author and instructor. I was very honored when I learned Black Heart Bunny was featured on her blog!

Even though I took her class in San Diego, no matter where you live you can audit one of her many wonderful classes online and read her book, "Photo Styling, How to Build Your Career and Succeed." Highly recommended for photographers, stylists, designers and anyone else perusing a life of style!

Tiny Space with A Lot of Heart

Before I moved to NYC from Philadelphia, I spent most of my weekend jaunts trolling the shops and restaurants of the East Village, a neighborhood I still love for it’s refusal to cow-tow to Starbucks and other retail giants (although the rate of banks opening up on 2nd Avenue will make your head spin!)

I first happened upon Sophie’s store 2 summers ago and continue to hit her up for truly original designs. I think the small space speaks to the buyer's talent and keen eye for interesting pieces. I especially enjoy the fact that I rarely ever recognize any of the designers or labels. Sophie's room serves as a medium for new talent and those looking for the "next thing" in fashion. Plus, it always feels that much better to know your shirt/jacket/pants/etc came from an independent designer dedicated to creating and pursuing their vision :) "

I just finished making all the items for the order so it should be in store within the next month or so!!!
